FAQ: How does this WeTravel booking platform work?

Two Lane America uses WeTravel as our booking platform, and this post will help you set up your account and navigate your trip portal...

For many years, Two Lane America used multiple platforms and spreadsheets to register, organize, and communicate with our clients. The problem: we made mistakes. In 2024, we migrated to WeTravel, software that allows us to streamline things into mostly one place.

We hope this eventually makes things simpler for everyone, but we understand technology can be tricky! Let's walk through the site together! Whether you signed up for our Route 66 car caravans or any of our other tours, the process should be the same. One nice thing for folks taking multiple trips with us, they'll all be clustered in your WeTravel dashboard once you register.

Initial registration

Whenever someone registers for one of our trips, the main registrant (the first email address) should receive a confirmation email. At the bottom of the email, you'll see 2 buttons: 1 that says "Manage my trip" and one that advertises travel insurance. (More on that later). In theory, you don't need to click on the "Manage my trip" button, but if you do, you should be able to create an account using your email. We highly suggest everyone do so.

Common problem: if you did not create an account yet and click the "Manage my Trip" button, you'll go to a page where you enter your email then it'll ask for a password. "BUT I DON'T HAVE A PASSWORD??" - click "forgot password" and it'll email you a link to create one. We apologize for this annoyance.

Accessing your booking page

Once you've created an account/password to access your booking page, you can simply go back to that email at anytime, click on that button, log in, and you'll be taken to your booking page. From the booking page, you can do multiple things such as make payments or add pre/post nights if that's an option for your trip.

You can also access your booking page by going to: https://twolaneamerica.wetravel.com/

Once at this page, simply log in using your email and password.

Once logged in, any trip you're registered for will be shown here:

Simply click on "Manage Booking" to access the dashboard for your trip.

From the dashboard for your trip, you can add pre/post nights, edit your information, and pay your invoice.

Adding pre/post nights to your registration

To add a pre or post night to your trip, click "add more options to booking":

On the next screen, select the number of nights then enter your method of payment. It defaults to e-check, but to pay with card, simply click where it says card. Once you submit it, you're all done!

Accessing your invoice/making payments

To pay all or some of your balance due, you can click on "Pay Installments" right under the Outstanding Payments header.

Note: Just like with pre/post nights, it defaults to electronic check as the method of payment. To pay with card, simply click where it says "card".

If you wish to pay your balance by old fashioned check, simply mail it to Two Lane America,1050 N. Damen Ave. 1F, Chicago IL 60622

Trip update emails

While major registration items such as invoices, payments, etc. will trigger emails to the main person registered, when we send trip-related emails, anyone with a valid email listed in your original registration form will also receive an email. If you wish to change/edit your contact info for the registration, you can do so from the trip dashboard.

IF YOU STILL NEED HELP

Computers not your thing? No worries. We can always process payments, edit info, add pre/post nights, etc. over the phone. Simply give us a call at 513-827-8273.

Side note: Trip insurance

In both the registration email and the dashboard, you'll see a link to shop for travel insurance. We highly recommend travel insurance, but we encourage you to shop around and in no way endorse WeTravel as our provider of this. You can find multiple companies online, use WeTravel's, or our partners listed in your welcome packet.
