Join us for the 2nd annual Rolling Route 66 show as we show off everyone's great cars and trucks and take a virtual stroll down Route 66...
For the 2nd year, we're proud to partner with Viva le Rock to present our Rolling Route 66 Virtual Car Show! Last year we had over 1,800 cars and trucks enter the show, and you fine folks logged over 50,000 votes for your favorites! We're hoping this year is even bigger and better! Here are a few of the important details for the 2022 show...
Feb. 1-12: Pre-registration & early voting
Feb. 13-20: Virtual car show days
Voting ends February 20th at 11:59pm
How it works:
Register your ride for free on the show website, and we'll check for errors and get you approved as soon as possible. After approval, your ride will show up in the show corral. You can share your entry with your friends to vote for you! Folks can vote for you once a day per email address. (See tips below for more on this!)
NOTE: Uploading the pictures can be a little tricky. If your entry comes across messed up, we'll help you fix it! We know the system isn't perfect, but hey, who's perfect anyway? If you see an error, email firstname.lastname@example.org
You're allowed to vote once a day, so vote often! If a vote is deemed to come from a fake email or email that's not a real person's, we'll discard the vote and it could lead to a DQ for the entry. Just be honest! If you're having trouble voting, email email@example.com!
New this year: we'll also be trying to update everyone more often on the class leaders!
Like last year, our grand prize for the most votes is 1 spot (1 car, 2 people, 1 hotel room) on one of our Route 66 Guided Car Caravans OR the same for one of our Guided Nashville to New Orleans trips.
We'll also have prizes for the Top 20 and each class winner and the club with the most participation!
Ok, we know whenever you make classes, someone gets miffed about it. We've TRIED really hard to have as many classes as possible, but we know it ain't going to suit you all. Here are our classes for 2022...
Other thoughts and tips for making the most of the show:
The biggest complaint we got last year was people trying to have all their coworkers vote while at work. Unfortunately, the computers on the same network are going to all be seen by the system as "one" computer and the fraud prevention shuts it down. We encourage people to vote using their phone over the data network instead of wifi in these situations.
Keep in mind- this is supposed to be fun! Negativity won't be tolerated. We're giving away a tremendous amount of time and value here just for some fun, so be kind. If we deem someone is being harassing, we'll bounce ya. We all love the same hobby here, let's just have fun!
Want to get the big vote numbers? Get creative. Our top vote getters last year did stuff ranging from posting it to their car club to having their kids tell all their classmates to vote.
