The Grand Canyon is a bucket-list destination for practically everyone, and getting there is pretty darn easy. That wasn’t always the case. Back in the day, it was an involved journey, but just as today, the reward was simply breathtaking.

We thought it’d be fun to take a look back at some vintage photos of the Grand Canyon and just how different transportation around the park was back in the day:
